Regent’s College, London ( http://www.regents.ac.uk/ )

The Regent’s College Events Forum ( http://www.rceventsforum.com ) will be hosted at Regent’s College London on Thursday 16, Friday 17 and Saturday 18 September 2010, and will bring together over 300 UK and international event management professionals, students, representatives from professional associations and bodies, and members of industry media. The Events Forum is sponsored by Fulham Football Club, with a media partnership in print and online through Event Magazine.

The Forum offers event management professionals and students the opportunity to network with key international figures in the events industry, and listen to a wide variety of stimulating international presentations and workshops, including a Friday session run jointly by ABPCO and MPI on the role and importance of professional associations in the events industry. Delegates will also gain a range of commercial insights into organising successful events, and experience site visits and exclusive event management talks at some of London’s most prestigious event venues including Craven Cottage – home of Fulham Football Club, the London Eye, the Natural History Museum, St Paul’s Cathedral, and Westfield Shopping Centre.

Guest speakers to be present include representatives from Visit London, Mercedes-Benz UK, the American Academy of Wedding Professionals, the International PowerBoat Association, and high profile UK and international event organisers from different fields. On the Friday evening, the Forum will host a charity Gala Dinner in central London , raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support through an auction of celebrity and sporting memorabilia, and a prize raffle.

Registration fees for ABPCO members are currently available at £98.00 per person (inc. VAT) to cover presentations, workshops, drinks/lunches, site visits, and attendance at the Friday evening Gala Dinner. Current promotional offer available until Friday 13 August: 1 extra complimentary place added for every 2 registrations made.

The Forum is a not-for-profit event, with a specific objective of raising £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support through a range of activities including a charity auction and prize raffle at the Friday evening Gala Dinner. The organisers of the event would consequently be interested in talking to ABPCO members who may be in a position to donate potential items or prizes for this purpose. Purely as guidance, current items to be included on the night include signed Fulham and Chelsea FC shirts, signed Roger Federer tennis rackets, an Executive Box for 10 people including food, drinks and match tickets at a home 2010/11 Fulham FC fixture, a week in Malta with flights and accommodation, and weekends at various 4 and 5 star UK hotels and resorts. Any assistance in this area would be very much appreciated – please contact Andrew Kirby on 0207 487 7870 or email kirbya@regents.ac.uk for more information.
