Daphne Llewellyn Davies has worked for Campden & Chorleywood Food Research Association since 1995. Her management career began with the Rank Organisation, joining their management training programme as a graduate trainee. She progressed to become the Sales Promotion Manager for their Management Training Films section and then to a similar role with Asahi Pentax & later in her career, the Minolta Camera Company. She also acted as liaison between the Japanese Head Office and the European subsidiaries. Prior to joining CCFRA, Daphne ran her own food service business and administered a local regional food group.

As Business Development Manager, Daphne works closely with all departments and in particular, Training and Membership. Her main responsibilities are to strengthen the relationship between the members and CCFRA, investigate and create new opportunities in order to promote the services that CCFRA can offer the food industry. She acts as project manager for 'special' events such as the International Trade Exhibitions where CCFRA are represented and also the 28+ conferences and seminars produced by CCFRA every year. Daphne instigated the annual CCFRA International Conference that attracts sponsors & exhibitors from all over the world and also collaborates with other organisations to produce larger and sometimes more complex events e.g the Pangborn Sensory Science Symposium which will be held in Minneapolis in 2007 and the Food Frenz project - a joint New Zealand and EU venture that will bring together scientists and food manufacturers from NZ & the EU to discuss best practice, new technologies and research projects via workshops, field trips and culminating in a major conference.

Daphne has been recently appointed as a Full Member of the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) and is also a member of the Fast Track Advisory Group for Food from Britain. She has also written several 'Marketplace reports' that focused on current trends and spoken at conferences and seminars in the EU.
