After 13 years as a Professional Conference Organiser , working mainly on Government and public sector conferences , Nick Jordan joined the UK Centre for Events Management at Leeds Metropolitan University as a Senior Lecturer in February 2002 .With 13 full time academic staff , and over 350 students , the Centre provides the impetus and focus for furter developing education , training , research and consultancy for the Events Industry .The Centre is launching a MSc Events Management , and Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate Courses in Events Management in September 2002.
