Recognition and Accreditation
To achieve ABPCO membership, PCOs are required to demonstrate a high level of experience and proven competence. The status of ABPCO membership confers a clear commercial advantage when bidding for contracts or when applying for new positions within the industry.
Networking
Through ABPCO member meetings, workshops and events along with the ABPCO group e-mail facility, members can share ideas and problems with a peer group of event organisers. This ensures that discussions and networking are particularly relevant to people at the sharp end of conference and event organising.
Business Leads
Full ABPCO members can gain access to business leads and enquiries from individuals, companies or associations wishing to employ a Professional Conference Organiser. All members details are also shown on this website. There is also an ABPCO section in the BACD (see below) directory which is distributed to over 10,000 UK companies and associations.
Best Practice Documentation
Full members also have access to confidential ABPCO-produced contracts and other documents which are recognised within the industry and which confer additional protection for ABPCO members in their dealings with clients, venues and other suppliers.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Professional development opportunities are available at the regular ABPCO meetings and seminars, where members can be updated on current issues and developments within the industry (special rates available to all members).

Receipt of regular information and data on the national and international conference industry.
Free VAT Advice Line
In partnership with Saffrey Champness all ABPCO members have access to 20 minutes of free advice on VAT. Further consultations can then be arranged at a fee.
Discounted Insurance Cover
ABPCO has negotiated exclusive professional indemnity cover and event insurance at special rates with Coverex International.
Collaboration with BACD (British Association of Conference Destinations)
ABPCO has established formal links with BACD, which represents the leading British conference destinations.
This alliance, combining the destination expertise of the BACD membership with the event management expertise of the ABPCO membership, offers new opportunities for collaboration and effective partnership.
