Jodie is an Event Manager at the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI), she is responsible for the operational and logistical delivery of the NCRI Cancer Conference and other NCRI events. Compiling and delivering the project plan for the Conference and smaller events inline with the NCRI strategy.
The annual conference attracts over 1500 delegates, 600 abstract submissions, 70 trade stands, with over 150 speakers and multiple streams to the programme. Her main duties include speaker management, programme development, abstract management and all event logistics including catering, signage, audio-visual production.
Jodie previously worked at the Royal Society of Medicine in the RSM professionals team. RSM professionals is the commercial arm of the organisation, developing and running bespoke courses and conferences. She worked as the Business development Manager and Assistant Event Manager, her purpose was to develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients whilst also line managing two Project Coordinators and planning and delivering a portfolio of courses and conferences.
Before working as an in-house conference organiser, Jodie worked as an Event Sales Coordinator in a 4* Hotel, responsible for the organisation and planning of a variety of private and corporate events.
