We are very excited to announce the sixth ABPCO Excellence Awards, which will celebrate the demonstration of excellence and leadership in association conference and event organisation. The Awards are timed to coincide with the Chairmen’s Lunch, at the ICC Wales on the 11th December, and will be a special occasion in the ABPCO calendar.
AWARDS NOMINATIONS – NOW OPEN:
How to enter
For the first three awards, we are asking our full, associate and corporate members to self-nominate for the most suitable category, with a brief submission using this form. We have kept the template simple, in the hope that it will take no more than an hour to fill in. Please keep the submissions to a maximum of 500 words per section and remember that they will be used as the basis for your presentation. All submissions must be related to an Association event/Not for Profit or Charity event. For the industry partnership we are assessing how you supported an association to achieve their objectives. Any events that are used in the evidence submission need to have taken place between the 1st July 2018 and the 31st July 2019 and must be received by 31st July 2019.
An independent panel will review the submissions and nominate 3 finalists in each category.
As an ABPCO accredited member we would invite you to get involved, and have your great efforts acknowledged by your peers. The awards are about showcasing best practice and celebrating excellence within the membership no matter what the size of your conference.
We will ask all finalists to present a 5-minute presentation of their submission as a case study at the awards lunch. Voting will take place by your peers on the day. Again, this year, we have agreed that a maximum of 5 slides per presentation can be used. We will not be showing videos or multi-media presentations and hope that this will represent a more level playing field for all of our members to compete on.
Chairmen’s Special Award
Through this special award our co-chairs Jo and Kate want to continue to recognise the proactive approach many of our members are taking in relation to the ABPCO values; Excellence, Learning and Belonging and the Purpose ‘Proud to enable human enrichment through face to face gatherings’. We are looking for individuals who make an impact within our industry and welcome nominations that highlight any activities that our members are taking in relation to the values. The nomination could be in relation to a specific event or it could be a project that is an on-going initiative.
Nominations for this award can be submitted at any time from now until 31st October 2019 for activities since the 1stNovember 2018. To enter this award please include 500 words to support the submission on the form here. Any awards for this will be agreed by the co-chairs.
The awards are for ABPCO members only and are free to enter. All submissions should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 31st July 2019 or 31st October for the Chairmen’s Special Award, and should state which award they are in relation to. So; no cost to enter, no hosted tables, no sponsors.
