Account Manager - Sales

Manchester Central is pleased to be recruiting for an Account Manager working within our Sales Team, the successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Venue Sales. You will strengthen and expand the client base to support Manchester Central’s growth and generate economic impact for the city of Manchester.

As an experienced, proactive salesperson with a proven track record, you will have a background in a structured/consultative sales role, preferably within the events industry. You will have in experience in sales reporting and monitoring, while simultaneously identifying and winning business. We are looking for a passionate individual committed to delivering high standards with the enthusiasm and drive to succeed in a fast moving and challenging environment.

Account Manager: Main Responsibilities

  • To meet and exceed all agreed sales targets (individual KPI & revenue targets, and overall team target)
  • Account manage – as per sector focus – both new and existing client base
  • Developing a sales strategy to attract new business – as per sector focus - to Manchester Central in conjunction with the Venue Sales Manager
  • Developing and maintaining current licence fee revenues from existing clients
  • To contribute to clear and strategic venue diary management, taking a structured and consultative sales approach to all accounts
  • To be a visible profile in the events industry - as per sector focus - with sound knowledge of both regional and national opportunities
  • Organising and attending client meetings, both internally and externally including national and international travel as and when required for business purposes
  • To serve as an ambassador for the Manchester Central brand at all times, delivering on and adhering to the company’s core values
  • To maintain and accurately keep updated customer records on internal CRM system.
  • To efficiently respond to all customer enquiries in a timely and effective/detailed manner
  • To work closely with the operations team to ensure the events you sell are not only commercially, but equally operationally viable
  • To prepare monthly sales activity reports
