The Conference Works Celebrates 100 Trees Planted in Commitment to a Greener Future

The Conference Works is proud to announce a major milestone in its sustainability initiative, having successfully reached 100 trees planted since the launch of its environmental commitment in September 2024. This initiative, which sees a tree planted for every event delivered, underscores the company’s dedication to reducing its carbon footprint and contributing to a healthier planet.

“As a business, we are passionate about delivering exceptional events while also ensuring that our work has a positive impact on the environment,” said Martin Todd, Director at The Conference Works. “This initiative is not just about planting trees; it’s about actively taking responsibility for our environmental footprint and supporting a sustainable future.”

The trees will be planted across two carefully selected sites, chosen for their ecological significance:

·       Lodge Castle Wood, a new 26-acre community woodland near Distington, is designed to create vital wildlife habitats and natural corridors while supporting local biodiversity.

·       Snitterfield Bushes, a scenic nature reserve in Warwickshire, renowned for its diverse flora and fauna, where the trees will contribute to conservation and habitat restoration efforts.

Sustainability is a core value at The Conference Works, and the tree-planting initiative is just one of the many ways the company is working to minimise its environmental impact. Additional efforts include:

·      Investing in energy-efficient AV equipment to reduce power consumption.

·      Encouraging virtual and hybrid event formats to cut down on travel emissions.

·      Implementing sustainable event practices to minimise waste.
