A global gathering of the fintech industry started in Londonon Friday 6 July, as Fintech Week returns to the capital for the fifth year.
Beginning with a weekend of hackathons, the main conference will take place from Monday 9 – Thursday 12 July at leading event venue the QEII Centre in Westminster.
Up to 1,000 people will be taking part in Fintech Week every day, with 5,000 participants from 50 countries expected to be involved throughout the week.
Fintech Week is a series of conferences, exhibitions, workshops, hackathons, meetups and parties, focusing on a different topic each day. The main conference and exhibition will be taking place at the QEII Centre, while smaller events run concurrently in the City of London, Canary Wharf and ‘Tech City’.
The key topics being discussed this year are fintech disruptors, capital markets and wealthtech, blockchain and crypto-finance, and an investors and start-ups day.
