Personal Statement
Over the last ten years I have worked on the organisation and delivery of both small educational meetings for 50 people along with national conferences for over 650 attendees. Providing great educational events requires a dedicated team and that means working with all stakeholders; our members, council, venues and suppliers. Working with our executive team and committees to develop and grow the organisation and our educational events, requires embracing new ideas and policies to ensure our organisation and events reflect the professionalism and diverse experience and knowledge of our members.
Role & Skill Areas
Working to improve our conference and meeting experience for our members and to encourage new membership through the educational events we hold, my role includes development of our scientific programmes and communication with faculty and delegates and working to ensure that both get the most out of the events we hold. Venue and accommodation finding, as well as working with the audio visual and online component has also become an important part of my role. Looking to augment the meetings experience with technology requires keeping abreast of new developments in the delivery of meetings and conferences.
