CONNECT - COLLABORATE - LEARN

The ABPCO Festival of Learning brings the association and not-for-profit events community together to share current thinking and good practice, learn from each other, and explore how we can create better events in a changing world.

We welcome submissions that offer valuable learning for event professionals. This could include practical case studies, lessons learned, research, innovative approaches, professional insights, or thought-provoking discussion. The themes below reflect some of the topics our members have told us they would like to hear more about. Submissions are welcome from across the events sector, and we would especially like to hear from in-house event teams and agency PCOs.

• Accessibility and Inclusion
  How can we create more accessible, inclusive and engaging event experiences? We welcome submissions that explore accessibility, inclusion and attendee experience through practical examples, research, innovation or professional insight. What challenges have you faced, what have you learned, and what opportunities or changes should the industry consider for the future?
• AI and Data-Driven Decision Making
  How are AI and data reshaping the events industry? Share practical applications, lessons learned, research, emerging trends, opportunities, challenges or ethical considerations. What can event professionals do now, and what should they be preparing for next?
• Better Together – Effective Collaboration
  What makes collaboration truly effective in the events industry? Whether through a partnership, project, programme or broader industry experience, we invite submissions that share lessons, challenges, successes and ideas that can help deliver greater impact.
• Challenge Accepted!
  What problems have you faced in planning or delivering an event,  and how did you overcome them? We are interested in practical experiences as well as wider reflections on resilience, problem-solving and innovation in the face of challenges.
• The Delegate of the Future
  What do the next generation of event participants want from conferences and events? Share practical experiences, research, observations or ideas that explore changing participant expectations, engagement strategies, community building and the future of event attendance.

 Your abstract (maximum 250 words) should explain:

• What you will share
• What delegates will learn or be able to apply
• How it relates to the theme
• Why it is relevant to the ABPCO community
• Who will present the session
