The Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed. IPSE's mission is to revolutionise the self-employed sector. To enable those who work for themselves to grow their business how they choose. To create an empowering environment where all independent professionals are recognised and celebrated for their passion and dedication. To ensure happiness and health in their career and beyond. We strive to be the definitive source of insight and information of the self-employed and have 75,000 members consisting of contractors, consultants, independent professionals and interims who gain gain access to a huge range of membership benefits, knowledge, experience and, of course, our award-winning policy work with Government. As Event Manager I lead on the strategic creation and delivery of all the event plants to drive acquisition, engagement and retention. I manage the full annual progamme of events, ranging from sponsorships of third-party events to in-house events and major industry conventions. Our flagship event, National Freelancers Day, attracts 550 attendees looking to learn more about being a freelancer. The event is an exhibition, conference with side event fringe programme throughout the country. I have over 10 years experience in the events industry, all at not-for-profit trade associations or charities. My previous trade association experience was at RenewableUK where I led on the strategic development of internal and external events, including the flagship offshore wind exhibition and conference event which attracted up to 7000 attendees.
