the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers, (ABPCO)  the UK’s leading Professional body for Association Conference & Event Organisation.  We provide membership services to conference and event organisers, and their industry colleagues, working to deliver not-for-profit and association conferences.  We also welcome those studying for or pursuing a career in the association meetings industry.  We are a growing association, and welcome new members.  We help to facilitate conversations and knowledge sharing between ABPCO members, and these conversations lead to innovations, education, lasting working relationships and professionalisation.

For over 25 years we have made it our mission to promote professionalism and leadership in the UK Association Conference and Meetings Industry through extended dialogue, advocacy, professional development, industry campaigns and education. Always protecting our members’ interests both in Britain and worldwide, our mandate is to foster and develop relationships with our members by focusing on the association events industry as a whole and acting as a leading voice and campaigner for our members by advocating the latest technology, education, networking and best practice principles.

ABPCO has a significant reach, with a community of best practice ambassadors in the UK.   In fact our members have the skill set to host the world’s association conferences.

ABPCO is the association for association meeting professionals.  Membership is open to professional conference organisers, suppliers, associates and destinations within the UK who are able to clearly demonstrate the skills, knowledge and experience required to plan and organise major UK and international association conferences.

Recognising that there are many associations within the UK for Meeting Planners, ABPCO is unique in offering a dedicated industry association representing professional conference organisers in the association and not for profit market within the UK. In order to protect the quality and integrity of our Members, membership is confined to those who are able to clearly demonstrate their skills and knowledge in this specialised sector of the Events industry.
