Role & Skill Areas
I am the Director of Sales at The Grand Hotel Birmingham and was part of the Pre Opening journey and Opened the doors in May 2021.
I am responsible for developing strategic partnerships with event organisers and industry stakeholders to secure new business opportunities. I specialise in delivering bespoke meeting and event solutions that highlight the hotel’s distinctive features and ensure outstanding client satisfaction.
I am a Director of Sales with proven expertise in driving revenue growth, leading high-performing sales teams, and building lasting client partnerships. Skilled in strategic business development, contract negotiation, and market analysis, with a strong background in corporate, group, and leisure segments. Adept at aligning sales strategies with revenue management to maximize profitability while ensuring service excellence. Proficient in CRM and hospitality technology, with a track record of exceeding sales targets and positioning hotels competitively in diverse markets.
Experience
I have over 20 years experience in the Hospitality industry; starting my career at Conference Care straight out University where I gained a BA Hons Degree in Tourism & Business Management.
After 7 years at Conference Care I moved onto QHotels where I spent another 7 years working across various hotels in the country as Director of Sales including Hellidon Lakes, The Oxford Belfry & Chesford Grange.
From QHotels I launched a brand new events floor at Park Regis Birmingham where I spent just over 2 years and then moved onto the opening of The Grand Hotel Birmingham.
