Scott McKillop an undergraduate at Edinburgh Napier University, and an academic student member of ABPCO is writing a dissertation. The topic is an exploration of how the MICE sector within the United Kingdom (UK) can utilize video social media platforms as content creators to support their digital marketing strategy and enhance their products and services.
Scott will lead this roundtable discussion to discuss recent research that has highlighted a rapid surge in user numbers across all social platforms over the past 12-15 years with more businesses and industries spending increased amounts of money on digital marketing which is specifically related to video sharing social media marketing.
Scott aims to establish the potential impacts that industry professionals (PCOs) within the United Kingdom (UKs) MICE sectors could experience by utilizing video social media platforms as content creators to support their digital marketing strategy to further enhance their products and services.
As such he would welcome your input on the following objectives:
- To establish an understanding of the current procedures of digital marketing methods and marketing best practices that is used in the MICE sector by PCOs currently.
- To identify how favorable industry professionals (PCOs) would be on the idea of adapting or amplifying digital marketing practices. In relation to extending budgets, implementing new methods (video social media and the use of content creators) and expanding HR departments and employees all where needed.
- To draw conclusions and present realistic recommendations for industry professionals (PCOs) when implementing and expanding video social media platforms with the use of content creators to enhance products and services.
Please do join us for this session, and Scott will share the results of his dissertation with us in due course.
