This session is an open session for you to ask questions and learn more about the Business Events Growth Programme.
A few weeks ago, Visit Britain reopened the Business Events Growth Programme (BEGP), offering financial support to destinations, universities, associations, PCOs, and other conference organizers bidding for or organizing international events in Britain. It forms part of the UK Government's commitment to grow the events sector.
For the new financial year, BEGP applications have moved to a fully online grants portal, making the process much more streamlined. While the application process is new, the program criteria remain the same. They are still offering funding for Candidate City Bid Support and International Delegate Growth, along with any Government Advocacy requests.
In partnership with the UK Government, VisitBritain also offers support in the form of Government Advocacy, for example providing letters or other messages of welcome to aid in winning international business events or grow the international profile of Britain’s business events sector.
