Brighton Centre - Business & Sales Manager
I studied arts and venue management at degree level with a focus on the impact that events and arts have to the wider economy, and this is a particular passion of mine.
I started my MICE career in hotel venues in Brighton supporting the event from start to finish. From sales and site visits, writing the function sheets and of course after care and account management. Working mainly with the corporate sector and private events.
Following that I worked at VisitBrighton Convention Bureau for seven years this gave me the wider destination perspective selling the city as a destination for business events. Our key market as a Convention Bureau was large Association Business both national and international. Our close relationship with VisitBritain Events has given me an insight into wider issues that play a factor in the choice of a location, with expertise in areas such as legacy, sustainability, incentives, ambassador support and international bids. I also understand the importance of building local business partnerships to add value to the client experience.
As Business and Sales Manager of the Brighton Centre my role has brought together all my experience to comprehensively support clients to bring their conference to our venue and city with all the benefits that it can offer their event. In terms of our venue The Brighton Centre was the first purpose-built conference centre in the UK. Conference business is who we are and when you bring your event to the Centre you benefit from decades of experience and expertise.
