Hannah Preston is Events Team Manager at Bioscientifica Ltd, a PCO, Association Management Agency and a biomedical publishing house. Hannah began her event career via a number of different channels; her first roles after leaving University with a Journalism degree were in Publishing and Marketing. In both roles she gained experience in both exhibitions and events, enjoying this aspect so much that what followed was a concerted effort to move into the events industry.
Her first dedicated Events role was in 2007 working on The Bristol Classic Car Show, alongside work on B2B trade shows. It was here at Nationwide Exhibitions that Hannah gained her experience of start-up events, instrumental in setting up a smaller B2C event from scratch. Hannah’s focus up to this stage was very much the operational aspects of running an event. Following this more experience was gained as a dedicated Event Manager in the Affiliate Marketing Industry running a series of events and also managing an Awards Ceremony (Performance Marketing Awards) at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London for > 100 attendees.
Hannah then moved to Prysm Group as Marketing and Operations Manager, using her experience to assist in the start-up of many small exhibitions including The Farm Business Show, as well as working on The Business Show specialising in managing the Sponsors, Exhibitors and the Exhibition Floor.
Hannah feels like she has found her home at Bioscientifica, in the PCO industry, moving from Sponsorship and Exhibition Manager to Events Team Manager looking after a team of 8/10 heavily involved in recruitment and the running/managing of a busy & growing events team.
