Madalina Marincas, PCO & Director, Opening Doors & Venues Limited
A fresh and inspiring event management graduate with an MA Degree with Distinction in Marketing Management for Events from University College Birmingham, Madalina had the opportunity to work with Opening Doors & Venues on the delivery of varied conferences and events since her University years, which ‘opened the door’ to the conference industry and led to a full-time position within the company in 2014. At the same time, Madalina joined ABPCO, with the desire to build on accumulated theoretical knowledge and drive her professional development in the industry, and has progressed from entry member to associate. Madalina’s greatest strengths are an undeniable determination to see a task through, her calm composure under pressure and her resolve to give those attending an event the best experience possible. Being reliable is at the core of her work ethic, but of utmost importance for Madalina is for the client to know they can place their trust in her. Highly skilled in the delivery of end-to-end services for association events and communication conferences for the public and funded sectors, nationally and internationally. Events in niche industries are a specialty for Madalina as she enjoys getting ‘up close and personal’ with unusual challenges and understand what makes audiences in those industries tick, their language and pace and ultimately what it takes to attract their interest. A new-found professional passion is that of awards ceremonies – there’s a large scope for creativity and there’s no alternative but to finish on a high, absorbing all the joy and enthusiasm that exudes from all attending. Madalina was thrilled to be named as one of the inaugural Conference News '30 under Thirty' in October 2017 and be awarded the 2017 ABPCO Chairmen’s Award later that same year. In 2019, OD&V was shortlisted for the Best Small Agency Award by Conference News.
