Events Apprenticeships and Apprentago Announce Strategic Partnership to Expand Apprenticeship Opportunities in Events and Production

Events Apprenticeships (EA), the industry-led, not for profit organisation advocating for accessible career pathways in the events sector, has today announced a major strategic partnership with Apprentago, the UK’s leading apprenticeship search platform.

The collaboration is designed to streamline access to apprenticeships in the events and production industries, provide support to employers and learners, and drive visibility of apprenticeships as a valuable route into the sector.

Website Integration to Guide Candidates

EA will feature a dedicated section on eventsapprenticeships.org, highlighting the partnership and linking directly to Apprentago’s searchable apprenticeship listings. Apprentago will, in turn, display EA’s logo and backlink, helping visitors access both organisations’ resources and opportunities.

Promoting Apprenticeship Access and Employer Tools

As part of the partnership, EA will officially endorse Apprentago as its preferred search platform.

The collaboration is designed to simplify access to apprenticeship opportunities via the search platform and promoting it’s:

  • Candidate search functionality
  • Free basic job posting for employers
  • Educational and support content

Raising Awareness Through Social Media

At the heart of the partnership is Carlo Weaver, Apprentago’s founder, whose growing social media presence is helping to reshape how apprenticeships are perceived. Carlo is on a mission to help more people discover, secure, and succeed in great apprenticeships – and to help employers connect with emerging talent across industries.

Driving Long-Term Sector Impact

“This partnership reflects a shared vision to make the events industry more accessible, inclusive, and future-focused,” said Candice Kass, Programme Manager, Events Apprenticeships. “We’re excited to collaborate with Apprentago to provide the tools, stories, and visibility the next generation needs.”

Apprentago is dedicated to closing the gap between education and the world of work through a dynamic platform that supports learners in building meaningful careers and enables businesses to access skilled, job-ready talent. With a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and social equity, Apprentago empowers young people particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds — to explore real career pathways.

Founded by Carlo Weaver, who left school with no GCSEs and was once homeless, Apprentago is built from lived experience. After changing his own life through a NatWest apprenticeship, Carlo launched Apprentago to ensure others like him could access the same life-changing opportunities.

“We’re not just another jobs board,” said Carlo Weaver, Founder of Apprentago. “We’ve created a platform that connects with Gen Z where they are using social media, AI tools, and relatable content to educate and inspire. With over 14 million views across platforms, we’re helping young people discover careers they didn’t know existed, and connecting them with employers like DHL and Deutsche Bank.

This partnership with Events Apprenticeships is about making early careers in events and production visible, inclusive, and genuinely accessible. We’ve also committed to giving back 5% of all Apprentago revenues to support apprenticeship access across sectors — because real change requires real investment.”.

I was impressed by the business idea, its commitment to social impact (PURPOSE), and the team. I liked it so much that I’ve become their first investor, as I see massive potential in what they’re developing and the positive impact it can have.” — Richard Waddington, Chair, Events Apprenticeships.
