1st May 1985 – Advice to Jan Devon re the name of the Association

‘I have written to the Registrar of Companies saying it is proposed to form a Company with the above name, and asking for the required permission to have the words ‘Association’ and ‘British’ as part of the name.  The Registrar will probably come back to us with a questionnaire, wanting to know in more detail then I have given him the proposed objects of the Association and the identity of the promoters.  I do not anticipate any difficulty concerning the use of the word ‘Association’ but there may be a problem with the ‘British’.  We shall see.
