Roles with the Meetings Industry Association
The MIA is keen to support and drive initiatives in a number of key areas of very specific relevance and or value to the sector.
Representing the business meetings and events sector and the exceptional talent within it, the association is looking for like-minded professionals to support the role of the mia and the diverse range of services and support that is delivered to help drive standards across the industry.
Alongside this ambition the association has a pressing need to address succession planning for the Board of Directors, ensuring a relevant, engaged, sustainable and active board of directors for the future.
It is with this in mind that the association has created a number of voluntary, board reporting, posts each of which will drive and or support the delivery of initiatives whilst working towards becoming a valued Board Director for the future.
Membership & Operations Manager
We are looking for a capable and motivated Membership & Operations Manager to join the Meetings Industry Association at an important point in our development.
This is a senior management role within a small, committed team. You will be responsible for overseeing our membership operations and internal systems, ensuring that our processes are efficient, compliant and above all, member-focused.
We are looking for someone who has the appetite to improve how we work - someone who sees opportunities to streamline systems, strengthen reporting, and embed consistently high standards of customer service across the membership function.
The role includes line management of our Membership Support Team and office-based workers, oversight of our CRM and associated platforms, responsibility for renewals and income processes, and support for governance and compliance activity. You will work closely with the CEO and colleagues across events, sales and marketing to ensure the organisation runs smoothly and professionally.
This is a hands-on management role. It will suit someone who enjoys operational oversight, takes pride in detail, and is confident balancing people management with process improvement.
If you are commercially aware, organised and motivated by building strong internal foundations within a values-led membership organisation, we would love to hear from you.
