Personal Statement

I've spent the last six years working in the meetings and events industry and am currently Association Sales Manager at ICC Wales, where I focus on helping associations find the right home for their conferences and events.

What I enjoy most about my role is getting to know people, understanding what success looks like for their organisation, and finding ways we can help bring their vision to life. I'm passionate about the impact associations have, whether that's advancing research, supporting professional development, or creating opportunities for people to connect and learn from one another.

As a proud Welshwoman, I'm also passionate about showcasing Wales as a destination for conferences and demonstrating the value events can bring to local communities. Through ABPCO, I'm looking forward to continuing to learn, build new relationships, and contribute to a sector that I'm incredibly proud to be part of.

Role & Skill Areas

As Association Sales Manager at ICC Wales, I work with national and international associations, PCOs and industry partners to attract conferences and events to Wales. My role is all about building relationships, identifying opportunities and supporting organisers through the venue selection process. From initial conversations and site visits to developing proposals and securing contracts, I work closely with clients to understand their objectives and help create events that leave a lasting impact.

My key skills include association conference sales, business development, relationship management, stakeholder engagement, account management, bid and proposal development, negotiation, presentation delivery, and creating strong partnerships that support successful events.

Experience

I have over six years' experience in the meetings, events and hospitality industry, building my career through sales, business development and client relationship management. In 2025, I was appointed Association Sales Manager at ICC Wales, where I specialise in growing the association conference market and positioning Wales as a destination for national and international events. I've had the opportunity to work on bids and enquiries for a wide range of medical, scientific, trade and professional associations, collaborating with partners across the destination to create strong, competitive proposals. I'm an active member of ABPCO, ICCA UK & Ireland and the mia, and I believe strongly in the value of industry collaboration and continuous professional development. One of the things I love most about this sector is that there's always something new to learn and new people to connect with.
