Running association events outside the UK presents exciting opportunities — but also unique operational, cultural and strategic challenges.
This virtual roundtable, exclusive and free to ABPCO members, is for anyone involved in planning, delivering or considering international events and conferences.
Whether you have years of overseas event experience or are exploring international delivery for the first time, this discussion-led session will provide a valuable opportunity to share ideas, ask questions and learn from peers facing similar opportunities and challenges.
Together, we will explore key considerations when taking events abroad, including destination selection, local partnerships, venue sourcing, budgeting, legal and compliance issues, logistics, delegate engagement, cultural differences and risk management. Attendees will also be encouraged to share practical lessons learned, success stories and common pitfalls from their own experiences.
The session will be facilitated by ABPCO member Clare Beach. Clare is Managing Director at Azura Events and has extensive experience delivering successful international events including congresses in Japan, Europe, Canada and the US.
Places are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
