I work for the Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery of Great Britain and Ireland (AUGIS) and have done so for the last nine years, helping to deliver conferences, meeting and webinars to our membership and the wider medical profession. Our focus is to provide events which encourage knowledge and research, networking and professional development for our members. In this ever-changing world, we therefore need to ensure that we listen to what our members want and also keep up to date with changes and trends within the conference and meeting industry, to ensure we provide cost-effective yet professional and sustainable learning events for our members.
With nearly 20 years' experience of working for not-for-profit organisations, I would like my ABPCO Membership to provide an opportunity for me to gain knowledge and exchange ideas from other members to ensure that our association can continue to deliver events that benefit our members, the association itself, and our wider society as a whole.
