The British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) has announced that its flagship Annual Scientific Meeting will return to London for the first time in 40 years, as part of a new multi-year agreement with Olympia’s state-of-the-art International Convention Centre (ICC).
Set to open in March 2026, Olympia’s new International Convention Centre (ICC) will host the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) Annual Scientific Meeting in both 2026 and 2028. The agreement was secured in collaboration with the venue’s management partner, Legends Global, whose expertise has helped position Olympia as London’s new leading destination for medical and association conferences.
Taking place on 15 – 17 June 2026, the three-day conference will be among the first major events at the new ICC, welcoming 2,500 delegates to the iconic Central London venue.
Mary Suphi, CEO of BAUS said:
After 40 years, we’re delighted to finally bring this cornerstone of the urological calendar back to London. Finding the right venue was central to our decision – and Olympia ticked every box. We’re grateful to the Legends Global team for their support in securing this partnership. The redevelopment at Olympia is a truly exciting time for the UK events industry and we’re confident our delegates will benefit from its world-class facilities when we meet in 2026 and again in 2028.”
Uniting urological professionals from across the UK, the BAUS Annual Scientific Meeting will include major elements of the scientific programme, analysing the current and future landscape of urology, with a particular focus on developments around Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Olympia’s £1.3 billion regeneration project is creating a world-class cultural and entertainment destination in the heart of London. Its scale and flexibility have been key to the Organiser’s decision, providing the ideal setting for its members to meet, socialise and participate in world class urological research, debate and opinion.
Andy O’Sullivan, CEO of Olympia Events said:
We’re delighted to enter this multi-year partnership with BAUS and welcome their delegates to our new International Convention Centre in its opening year. Enabling this flagship event to return to the capital for the first time in more than a generation is a real testament to the vision and ambition behind Olympia’s regeneration. This transformation is opening new opportunities for the UK events industry, and we look forward to attracting more world-class conferences back to London.”
