Nottingham Venues shortlisted in the Business Events Venue of the Year Category following success at the Nottinghamshire Tourism Awards.
Nottingham Venues has been named a national finalist in the Business Events Venue of the Year category at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2026, marking another major milestone for the organisation following its recent regional success.
The shortlisting comes after Nottingham Venues secured Business Events Venue of the Year at the Nottinghamshire Tourism Awards 2026 in March, where judges praised the team’s exceptional guest experience, strong service culture and continued investment in its venues.
The VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, which have been running for more than 35 years, celebrate the very best of England’s tourism industry, recognising organisations that demonstrate outstanding quality, innovation and customer service. Nottingham Venues is one of just a small number of venues nationally to be shortlisted in its category, having progressed from a pool of 369 local winners across the country.
The national recognition places Nottingham Venues among the leading business events destinations in England and reinforces Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s growing reputation as a centre for high-quality conferences, meetings and visitor experiences. The awards ceremony will take place on 3 June 2026.
Tom Waldron-Lynch, CEO of Nottingham Venues, said: “This is a proud moment for us all at Nottingham Venues. After winning both Business Events Venue of the Year and Hotel of the Year at the Nottinghamshire Tourism Awards in March, this feels like a brilliant next step and a real acknowledgement of the hard work our teams put in every day.
It's been a very busy two years for Nottingham Venues. We have focused on creating a first-class team, venues and guest experience, so recognition like this means a great deal to everyone here.”
Amanda Pettingill, Chief Campus and Commercial Services Officer at the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Venues Board Member, added: “This is a brilliant result for Nottingham Venues, and one that really speaks to the strength of the team and the sustained investment we’ve made in the facilities over recent years. National recognition like this doesn’t happen by chance—it reflects the quality of our venues, the experience we deliver for guests, and a clear, long-term vision for the business.”
Nottingham Venues is part of a strong cohort of Nottinghamshire finalists, alongside Nottingham Playhouse and National Justice Museum, highlighting the breadth and quality of the county’s visitor economy.
Operating a collection of leading conference, hotel and event spaces set within the University of Nottingham campus, Nottingham Venues welcomes thousands of delegates and guests each year, supporting both the regional economy and the UK’s wider business events sector.
