Glenn Corby recognised with IACC European Ambassador Award

26 October 2026

Glenn Corby, Executive Head Chef at Wyboston Lakes Resort has been recognised with the IACC European Ambassador Award by the International Association of Conference Centres (IACC), the global trade association representing high-standard meeting and conference venues.

Glenn, who joined Wyboston Lakes Resort 27 years ago, earned this honour for his many years of service to the association in helping to organise the IACC Copper Skillet, a global live culinary competition organised annually by the IACC to showcase the talent of chefs working in member conference and business centres worldwide.

In presenting the Award to Glenn, who was not expecting to receive it, at the IACC Knowledge Festival Mark Cooper, IACC CEO said:

“Glenn has become an important part of the IACC community. He has become a fantastic steward of one of IACC's most important traditions – the Copper Skillet.

“He has provided incredible support to our chefs. He brings calmness, encouragement and a huge amount of knowledge to the competition and has played an important role in making the Copper Skillet experience what it is today.

“But his contribution to IACC's culinary community extends much further than the competition itself. Over many years he has been a serial contributor to our culinary workshops, breakout sessions and discussions here at the Knowledge Festival, always willing to share his experience and help us create content that is relevant to the chefs and culinary teams within our member venues.”

Simon McMahon, Operations Director of Wyboston Lakes Resort said; “Glenn thoroughly deserves this award. His contribution is not only appreciated by leaders in the hospitality industry worldwide but also by chefs everywhere.

“It was never so more evident at this year’s event when nearly all of the chefs came up to him after the Copper Skillet to say thank you to him for his support before and during the event.”
