Lime Venue Portfolio to Lead Debate on #FORO

12th June 19, UK: Lime Venue Portfolio will lead on an educational session taking on the issue of food wastage in the hospitality and events industry at The Meetings Show later this month. The session will discuss the impact of #FORO - fear of running out – within the events industry and its negative impact on the planet.

The session will be an open discussion chaired by Jon Davies, Managing Director, Levy UK, part of Lime Venue Portfolio, who will introduce the negative impacts of food wastage in the events industry. It will also include insight from Emily Girdwood, Vice President International Events, Barclays; John Kelly, Director, Marketing EMEA, BCD Meetings & Events; Anna Golden, Commercial Director, Olympia London; and Paul Jennings, Director of Culinary Operations, Levy UK, on how venues, caterers, event organisers and delegates can work together to reduce the impacts of #FORO.

“This is an important subject and one which we’re incredibly passionate about at Lime Venue Portfolio and Levy UK,” comments Jon Davies. “No one wants waste from events, but to reduce it we need to change the way we look at things. The secret is open and honest communication with event organisers, venues and most importantly delegates, so we’re delighted to have them all represented at such a senior level at this session.”

The educational session will take place on day two of The Meeting Show; 27th June, 12-30 - 13.30, in The Olympia Grand Room.
