The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) has revealed the finalists for its 2018 Excellence Awards.
This year the Excellence Awards are being hosted by the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) on Thursday 13th December and are set to coincide with the Chairmen’s lunch. Once more, shortlisted candidates have been selected by an independent panel and winners will be decided on the day. Each entry will present their submission during the lunch prior to a final vote amongst their peers.
“The shortlist is particularly exciting this year. There was a lot of new blood entering the awards and the panel’s choice reflects that – in fact every category has two newcomers. The result is that our audience can expect to see a lot of fresh ideas and innovation brought to the stage in Glasgow.” comments Kate Sargent, joint-chair of ABPCO. “I offer huge congratulations to everyone who entered as the standard of entry just keeps rising every year. Scores were tight for every category, which made the shortlisting process incredibly challenging.”
Ahead of the Excellence Awards and Chairmen’s Lunch, a distillery tour and networking supper for members and attendees will take place at the Clydeside Distillery and Radisson RED on 12 December. The additional tours, transfers and dinner have been organised by Glasgow Convention Bureau.
