Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Event Project Manager. The Event Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events, working collaboratively with clients and team members. Key responsibilities include managing event logistics, monitoring budgets, liaising with vendors, and holding contractual responsibility for venues and suppliers - including negotiating, reviewing, and managing contracts throughout the event lifecycle - while ensuring seamless delegate experiences. The role also involves fostering strong communication with stakeholders and contributing creative solutions to ensure each event aligns with clients' strategic objectives.

Essential experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' event or project management experience, ideally within a PCO, agency, association, or conference environment
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end conferences or large-scale events, from planning through to on-site delivery and post-event reconciliation
  • Budget management experience — building, tracking, and reconciling event budgets
  • Supplier and venue management, including negotiating and managing contracts
  • Experience managing delegate registration and working with registration/abstract platforms
  • Excellent written communication and client-facing skills, comfortable being the day-to-day contact for committees and association clients
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally, including occasional evenings/weekends around event delivery

Desirable:

  • Experience with academic or medical/scientific conferences, abstract management, and speaker liaison
  • Sponsorship and exhibition sales or fulfilment experience
  • A relevant qualification — event management degree or similar
  • Full UK driving licence, if site visits and on-site delivery make it practical
