The ABPCO Marketing & Engagement Lead is responsible for developing and delivering high-impact marketing, communication and engagement plans to drive membership growth, retain existing members and increase uptake of our CPD learning provision. The postholder also works closely with the Executive Director and Operations Lead to deliver ABPCO’s growing programme of in-person and virtual events, including our annual Festival of Learning and Awards events.

In this new role, you’ll be regularly meet with members, potential members and other stakeholders to discuss ABPCO’s work and ensure our value proposition continues to meet their needs. Outstanding stakeholder communication skills are essential, as is a good eye for detail.

The successful candidate will have a significant and demonstrable marketing experience in the membership association sector, including experience marketing CPD learning offerings and meeting regularly with members. You will also have previous experience working as part of a team to deliver events .

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement marketing, communication and engagement plans to improve member experience and drive growth in membership and CPD.
• Lead on all marketing activity social media management, email marketing, sponsorship and exhibition sales, graphic design, developing video content and advertising.
• Meet with current and potential members, as well as other stakeholders to raise awareness of ABPCO, better understand the needs of our community and identify growth opportunities.
• Optimise the ABPCO website to improve user experience
• Represent ABPCO at our events and third-party meetings/conferences.
• Work as part of a project team to develop and deliver our growing programme of face-to-face and online events, training courses and roundtable meetings.
• Manage assigned ABPCO member groups, committees and taskforces; supporting and motivating volunteers
• Provide support/cover as required for the Executive Director and Operations Lead.

In addition to the above, the postholderwill be required to undertake any other reasonable duties as identified by the Executive Director.

Job Requirements:

• Significant and demonstrable experience working in a similar marketing role in the professional body/association sector
• Demonstrable expertise in developing and delivering effective marketing, communications and engagement campaigns.
• Previous experience managing, measuring and developing social media strategy.
• Previous experience working as part of a team to deliver events/conferences including responsibility for delegate marketing and soliciting content.
• Member/Stakeholder engagement experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Good IT literacy including MS Office, MailChimp (or similar), Canva (or similar), CRMs and CMSs
• Previous experience working with trade media as part of PR/Comms activity (desirable)
• A member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (or equivalent) (desirable)
• Comfortable working as part of a small team, with a high degree of autonomy in a fully remote role

The role includes domestic travel to meet with members/potential members, and overnight stays at approximately 6 events per year.

This is a part-time role (28 hours per week) to be worked over 4 or 5 days (including Wednesday and Friday).
